While other children of her age were busy engaging in the hustle and bustle of school life, precocious 11 year old Koh Leng Leng led a rather unusual life of practicing fortune telling and geomancy. Master Koh, as she is known to most today, discovered that she possessed the ability to communicate with the spiritual world when she consistently felt paranormal existence around her. Initially, she was resistant to this new found power and wanted to focus on just her studies, however; she was afflicted with all kinds of mishaps and ill health every time she tried to ignore her callings. These continuous misfortunes convinced her that it was her destiny to carry out the work of the gods and she should not reject it.

How she started
By the age of 18 in 1994, she started her own consultancy company and despite her tender years, throngs of believers flocked to her for advice and foresight. Many times, Master Koh questioned the justification of her vocation and like any other normal young lady, yearned for freedom and hoped to relinquish her duties 5 years later. However; it was not meant to be as she was once again afflicted with disasters when she wanted to give up her white robe. Master Koh dared not defy what seemed to be a divine order: She was to continue to act as a channel of communication between mortals and the spiritual realm; telling people their fortunes and how to avoid potential catastrophes and misadventures.

Accepting her path in life, Master Koh decided to devote all her energy to her vocation for fear of the gods’ wrath. In 1998,she came down with a high fever after which she was even more convinced that she had to carry on her work. Her tireless devotion earned her many believers who came from her native Malaysia, even across the straits from Singapore. All believers have to fix an appointment and most of her appointments were fixed many months in advance.

Master Koh's relationship with the gods
The gods have been kind to her, for instance, on her 17th birthday, she had a windfall of RM 17,000 from a satisfied client who had struck lottery. Even so, Master Koh was often caught in a dilemma having to balance the demands of her work and dealing with affairs of the heart. A typical weekday starts at 10am and ends at 7pm during which she has to meet clients as many as 2 van loads worth, 90 per cent of them Singaporeans! Weekends are spent practicing Geomancy. While other practitioners may take about 15mins for each session, Master Koh could take up to a whole day because she believes firmly in meticulousness and never treats her clients’ case sloppily.

As a result, she could hardly find any time to go on dates and widen her social circle. Many of her clients sympathized with her predicament: being cooped up in a small room the entire day, stuck with the interminable drudgery of telling peoples’ fortune non stop. When she is not in her working garb, Master Koh looks like any other lady who loves to doll herself up;attracting her fair share of admiring attention. However, she feels that there will always be an unknown force around her that will repel any unwanted attraction from her. This has gotten even her mother very worried about her future for fear that she may not be able to settle down at all but all Master Koh could do was to leave it to the divine powers above; there is pretty much nothing she could do to alter her destiny as she will always be struck by unwanted misfortunes.

Consultation Fees
Master Koh does not specify her consultation fee and it is up to her clients’ discretion to pay her accordingly. There were instances whereby her clients paid her large sums of money which she felt was too much and accepted only 10 per cent of what was given. On the contrary , there were also people who exploited her generosity by arranging for her to travel all the way to Singapore to provide “ Feng Shui “ advice , only to pay her a miserly sum of $ 10.

Indignant that she was unable to dress up and have fun like other girls her age, she tried to apply for the position of air stewardess with MAS Airlines in Kuala Lumpur. Perhaps as punishment for her act of defiance ,she made it through the first round only to fall badly in the second round of interview. She couldn’t explain her sudden and inexplicable loss of composure but attributed it to the gods’ displeasure with her disobedience.

Some of the peculiar encounters she had experienced include:
- In 1995, she went for a holiday in Medan only to come down with a serious skin allergy that left her face looking like that of an old woman’s.

- She had a vision that she brought to the 18 –levels of hell to meet her grandparents during which she couldn’t see and hear them properly. She could, however, tell there were many other lost and lonely souls there which upset her greatly.

- In 1996, she went to Pattaya, Thailand for a vacation. Again, she came down with a unexpected bout of high fever and stomachache. Upon her return home, her house was mysteriously flooded.

- In 1997, she was in Europe and the lights in her room started turning on and off all by themselves. This was followed by a manifestation of a ghost in front of her very eyes.

- In 1998, on the way to China on a business trip, the plane she was on experienced turbulence and plummeted to mid air. Perhaps this was a trip for official works, the gods made sure she returned safe and sound. She realized subsequently that all her official trips all proceeded smoothly without a hitch, it seemed that she had been given a special “ grant “ to travel as long as it was to help devotees with their concerns . As her fame started to permeate across many countries, Master Koh found herself even busier than usual. She traveled widely including countries like Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand, Korea, Cambodia, Taiwan, South Africa, Dubai, Doha, Iran, Australia, New Zealand, and many other places in Europe.

She was featured in Feminine Magazine on May 20,1994 as well as on 2 other newspapers. One is Nanyang Newspaper on 3rd May , 1995 and the other , New Life Post on 21st April, 2001 for her outstanding contributions. The most recently, New Life Post on 24th January, 2009 among the most famous fengshui consultant in Malaysia & New Life Post on 2nd September 2009 on Ghost Issue.
